Rainbow Rockies also offers a dedicated early-morning sunrise shuttle to Moraine Lake during peak summer, from June 21 through Labour Day weekend.
Visiting during larch season?
Larch season is one of the most popular times to visit Moraine Lake, especially on September weekends. Golden larches typically appear from mid-to-late September into early October, but timing can change from year to year.
If you’re planning a fall visit, arrange your transportation ahead of time and check current conditions before you go. Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles year-round, including during larch season.
Scheduled or private?
Our scheduled shuttles follow set departures and itineraries to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Need something more flexible? Private transportation gives families and groups more flexibility to request preferred timing, destinations and stops, subject to availability.
Visiting Moraine Lake using a wheelchair?
Our bus has two wheelchair spaces and a Braun wheelchair lift with a 1,000-pound capacity. Passengers can remain in their wheelchair while travelling.
Moraine Lake has dry washrooms with accessible pit toilets and an accessible viewing area where you can take in the lake. The Rockpile itself is not wheelchair accessible and can also be challenging for people with mobility limitations.

Your shuttle fare includes the transportation and services described for your selected trip, with no hidden fees added at checkout. Your seat is guaranteed, so there’s no waiting in the parking lot line-ups Moraine Lake is famous for.
Cancel 14 or more days before departure for a full refund. Cancellations 7-13 days before receive a 50% refund or full credit. Cancellations within 7 days will not receive a refund, but we’ll happily try to reschedule your trip if we can.
